On January 29th the Girsky Quartet will take their Vashon Beethoven show across the water to West Seattle’s beloved Kenyon Hall. The Vashon Beethoven Quartet Project continues on November 8th. Taking a detour from our journey along the opus 18 early quartet highway, this concert is a special preview of the Girsky Quartet’s upcoming tour of the Los Angeles area. They have been asked to play two different programs in Los Angeles, the first of which will be performed at the Havurah on November 8th. It begins with the beautiful A minor quartet of Mendelssohn, followed by the intriguing 1st quartet of Erwin Schulhoff and then culminates with the commanding Rasumovsky quartet no. 3 of Beethoven. It will be a fantastic evening of music and discussion. The Girsky String Quartet will present all the Beethoven string quartets in order (along with some gems by Mozart and Haydn) beginning this fall.

All concerts will be held at the beautiful 100 year old Vashon Havurah Building, 15401 Westside Highway. All events begin at 7:30pm
