The Vashon Beethoven Quartet Project continues on November 8th. Taking a detour from our journey along the opus 18 early quartet highway, this concert is a special preview of the Girsky Quartet’s upcoming tour of the Los Angeles area. They have been asked to play two different programs in Los Angeles, the first of which will be performed at the Havurah on November 8th. It begins with the beautiful A minor quartet of Mendelssohn, followed by the intriguing 1st quartet of Erwin Schulhoff and then culminates with the commanding Rasumovsky quartet no. 3 of Beethoven. It will be a fantastic evening of music and discussion. You can now purchase tickets at http://www.brownpapertickets.com, or admission at the door is $20 general, $15 seniors/students and 18 and under free.
