Here is the invitation for the May Musicale. It will help us fund next year’s season and be a fun way to celebrate my 50th. Hope to see you there! The ladies of Trio Pardalote will join me, Doug and Karin Choo for an evening of beautiful and rarely heard string chamber music.

Unfortunately we’ve had to put this weekend’s barn concert on hold due to a medical emergency for the presenter (we wish him well). But stay tuned, because we have a birthday party/fundraiser in the works. Save the date- May 25!

We’re delighted to announce a new venture for Vashon Chamber Music. We’ve been asked to present some classical concerts for a new endeavor out in Carnation. The 100-yr-old Carnation Tree Farm Barn loft will be the setting for Fri/Sat/Sun concerts March through October. http://www.carnationbarnconcerts.com

Our first program is coming up on April 21st at 7:30pm. Karin Choo will join Doug and Rowena for some delightful violin-cello duos by varied composers (Gliere, Martinu and Rolla). Tickets are $15. Hope to see you there! It’s only 45 minutes outside of Seattle.

Here are some photos that Dmitry’s mother, Nellie, took during her visit to Vashon. It was certainly a rewarding week for musicmaking and renewing old friendships. Leonid and Dmitry had not seen each other for 25 years!
