Here’s something all you chamber music/jazz fans might like to hear about. Scrape is Seattle’s new conductorless, improvisatory string orchestra led by Heather Bentley (on violin!) and they’re coming to the O Space in April. We’re going to play a teaser piece for this concert on April 1st at the Brahms celebration.
Vashon Chamber Music is excited to announce the formation of Trio Pardalote. In fact, it was after the success of the trio’s inaugural concert in November that we decided to stick together and make a committed group. We played for enthusiastic audiences in Los Angeles just last month and are looking forward to playing for Vashon again at the upcoming Brahms celebration. We’re particularly excited about a new series we will be hosting at the Royal Room in Columbia City. Starting on May 27 and hopefully monthly thereafter we will have evenings of chamber music and poetry, particularly drawing from music of the 20th century- hence the name, Club Shostakovich. Check it all out at our new website http://www.triopardalote.com and congratulate yourself, Vashon, on being the inspiration for it all. You can find us on the web at www.triopardalote.com
